Dear friends,
Thank you for taking the time to visit this page! I am hoping that, in celebration of my 21st birthday, you would partner with me in raising funds for a new school and orphanage in Lebanon.
As many of you have heard, the conflict in Syria has caused many to seek refuge in neighboring countries such as Lebanon. However, the conditions of refugee camps in Lebanon are really heartbreaking and the refugees -- especially orphans -- are in dire need of help. Hearing many reports on the situation there, I was really moved to do something about it. By donating to this cause, you will be giving funds toward building a school in Lebanon to care for refugee children from war-torn Syria. Build Hope International will be completing construction for the school by the end of this month and is hoping to expand into an orphanage in the future.
I am asking that all my friends pledge $21 (or more) for my 21st birthday towards this school instead of birthday gifts as, some of you know, building schools and orphanages has always been a dream of mine and something very close to my heart. My goal is to reach $500 by my birthday (Jan. 22) or at least by the end of this month. Let's start the new year off with extravagant generosity!
